General Information

The academic calendar mostly consists of two semester (Two-semester system). Each semester is not less than 15 weeks. The summer session is scheduled to meet the requirements of each

1st semester : August - December

2nd Semester : January - May

 

Graduate admission information

When to apply

Applicants can submit the application forms throughout the year. The deadline of application is February for the first semester which begins in August.

Admission requirement

 

M.Sc. program

Applications are very welcome from those who hold an undergraduate degree in Pharmacology or related life sciences. Candidate should normally have a minimum GPA of 2.70 from a 4.0 point scale.

Ph.D. program

Applications are very welcome from those who hold an graduate degree in Pharmacology or related life sciences. Candidate should normally have a minimum GPA of 3.50 from a 4.0 point scale. In addition, candidates who hold an undergraduate degree in Pharmacology or related life sciences with GPA at least 3.50 are considered.

English language requirements

 

M.Sc.

IELTS - at least 3 or

TOEFL INTERNET BASED - at least 32 or

TOEFL ITP (test arranged by Faculty of Graduate Study, Mahidol University) - at least 400 or

MU GRAD TEST(COMPUTER BASED) - at least 36

Ph.D.

IELTS - at least 3 or

TOEFL INTERNET BASED - at least 32 or

TOEFL ITP (test arranged by Faculty of Graduate Study, Mahidol University) - at least 400

Supporting materials

Applicants must submit the followings by mail

One complete application form (not necessary if completed online)

Two recent photographs

Two copies of applicant's degree certificate

Two copies of certified academic transcript or grade report with English translation

Two copies of statement with study plan and career goals (100-150 words)

Two letters of recommendation from universities and / or employers, mailed directly to the Faculty of Graduate Studies

Two copies of English proficiency test (either TOEFL or IELTS)

Mail complete application form with all documents to :

For applicants completing an application form online

 

- applicants should send one copy of all documents via the following e-mails :phattaraphorn.pum@mahidol.ac.th

 

- Apart from sending all documents via e-mail, applicants must also send all documents in hardcopy by mail, the Faculty of Graduate Studies will process admission only after receiving all documents by mail.

Review & notification

Submitted application materials are reviewed by faculty admission committee who select the best qualified applicants and this may take considerable time. List of successful applicants will be annouced by the end of April.
